By doing so you will notice that it will also give you a better idea and focus of how you want YOUR website to look and function, instead of having a well payed designer/consultant tell you. It is also very important to decide what you want your website to do. Do you want a photo gallery, newsletter, shopping functionality, blog etc. What do you want on your home page, a menu of course but would you like to have a separate button for subscribing to a newsletter or a separate button to go to the Testimonials page as well?
